Why study cosmic rays?
Cosmic rays are everywhere!
In every metric square, every second, hundreds of these high-energy cosmic particles reach us. What do the measurements of these particles have to teach us about ways and means that occur in our galaxy? Or even, about processes that occur in distant galaxies? How do cosmic rays affect our life on Earth?
Our idea
To create a network of particle detectors that can be made and operated by high-school students and professors. Our project allows an independent investigation and permits, through hands-on lessons, the engagement of students in scientific research activities oriented toward topics of particle physics, astronomy, and computing science.
Who takes part?
High-school students and professors, education researchers, and high-energy experimental physicists. This way, we unify schools, universities, and research institutes.
